Dr. Kent Smith has been serving patients in his DFW-area practice for over 30 years now, and his skill and passion regarding the ever-interesting world of sleep dentistry is truly unmatched. He is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Australasian Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the President of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He is also a consistent speaker and supplier of continuing education materials for doctors all over the country. Dr. Smith enjoys not only enhancing his own patients’ health and lives through his work with snoring and sleep apnea therapy, but also teaching other dedicated dentists and health professionals to do the same.

Leading Clinicians

Dr. Rosemarie Rohatgi (Dr. Rose) is the first and only female Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in the Greater San Diego area. She has dedicated her entire practice to dental sleep medicine (one of only a few in the world to do so) and has completed the advanced Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She is Triple Boarded as well with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. Today, she is a true expert and leader in the field of snoring and sleep apnea therapy, and she still pursues continuing education each year.

Dr. Rosemarie Rohatgi (Dr. Rose)

Dr. Jeff Rodgers has been working in private practice for over a decade and counting, and he is currently a Diplomate with both the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He has achieved great success with oral appliance therapy, and today, he regularly lectures to the medical community about dental alternatives to traditional OSA treatment and the importance of taking a team approach to dental sleep medicine.

 Dr. Sharnell Muir has been in private practice for 30 years. Her practice Sleep Better Live Better is focused solely on providing quality care in Dental Sleep Medicine. She is currently the only clinician with a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and Diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy in British Columbia Canada. Her dedication to continuing education, research and clinical care has led to a level of expertise patients can rely on. She is a regular expert on local radio and lecturer to the medical and dental community.

Dr. Sharnell Muir

Dr. Jay A. Nelson is the dental director of the first American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine accredited facility in the state of Florida. He is a diplomate of the American Sleep & Breathing Academy and board eligible for both the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. In addition to completing many courses in dental sleep medicine, he regularly participates in sleep medicine conferences and literature reviews to keep up with current advances in the field.

Dr. Jay A. Nelson

Dr. Erika Mason is a Diplomate with both the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorder Disciplines. Dr. Mason is the first and only female in the state of Virginia to accomplish this credentialing to date. She has dedicated her entire practice to dental sleep medicine which is also a first in Virginia. She is a co-founder of the Virginia Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is a past president of this organization as well as continues to sit on their board. She has her certification in MATRx, a technology used to find proper jaw protrusion for Oral Appliance Therapy which she lectures about nationally to help other dentist get involved with Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. J.C. Goodwin has been involved with dental sleep medicine since 2006, and a full-time dental sleep medicine practitioner since 2011. Diplomate credentialed in both the ABDSM and the ACSDD, he practices in both Prescott, AZ and Oro Valley (Tucson), AZ. He is working to streamline practice models to improve efficiency and patient convenience, which may include teleconferencing in some capacity, and he is an active proponent of objective titration protocols used both in PSG and HSAT settings.

Dr Mark T Weiser has been practicing sleep medicine for over 10 years and has helped hundreds of clients get healthier thru better sleep and wellness. His integrative practice in Santa Barbara California provides comprehensive sleep and  wellness, thru a total package plan for his patients. He works closely with his patient to provide comfortable care with great results. A long time member of AASM and AADSM and various sleep study groups, Dr Weiser continues to seek out the latest in therapies for the betterment of his patients.

Dr. Erin Elliott, a general dentist in the Northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest, has dedicated her passion for dental sleep medicine to providing screening and treatment to her patients.  She is past-president and diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Daniela Severis one of the few accredited and Boarded sleep dentists in the Northeast.  She has been in practice for over 30 years and practicing sleep dentistry for the last 10.  She enjoys working with the many sleep patients who come to her for treatment.  She has given lectures to physicians, sleep professionals and patients.

Dr. Angie Nauman is the founding owner of Glisten Dental in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is passionate about treating sleep apnea which is why she pursued diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep & Breathing Academy. Over half of Dr. Nauman's private practice is dedicated to Dental Sleep Medicine, and her patients benefit from her team's medical insurance expertise and high success rate of treatment with Oral Appliance Therapy. Dr. Nauman has developed excellent relationships with her local medical community, so she enjoys speaking to physicians and other medical providers about the benefits of treating apnea with an oral appliance.

Dr. Cynthia Wiggins has achieved her Diplomate status for the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy for her continuing education studies. She has also achieved Master of Excellence for the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.  She is an active member in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and is a Founding Member of the Dental Organization for Sleep Apnea. She also maintains her membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Delta Sigma Delta Fraternities.

Dr. Kenneth A. Mogell is a Diplomate the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and board eligible for the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. He is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for  Sleep Review, the Journal for Sleep Specialists. Dr. Mogell's dedication to clinical care and continuing education has led him to lecture to the medical and dental communities.  Dr. Mogell provides expert treatment for obstructive sleep apnea patients for all of South Florida through Florida Dental Sleep Disorders.

In 2013, Dr. Mark Levy left the group practice which he started to limit his practice to helping patients who suffer from Sleep Apnea and TMJ (headaches and jaw problems).  He continues to teach and consult other dentists both in the States as well as in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Dr. Brandon Hedgecock is on a mission to change the landscape of Sleep Medicine in his community.  After a close family member was diagnosed with sleep apnea he witnessed first hand the power of treating this disorder and the impact it can have on an individuals life, health, and well being.  He is a Diplomate with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and currently preparing for the ABDSM board exam.  He has devoted a large percentage of his practice to sleep apnea treatment and dedicates countless hours to working with and educating physicians not only on oral appliance therapy, but also the importance of screening all patients for sleep disordered breathing.  Dr. Hedgecock is passionate about this field and finds it to be one of the most rewarding parts of his practice.

Dr. David Montz is a general dentist in the Greater Houston area with practices in Pearland and Friendswood, TX since 1997. He is passionate about treating sleep apnea and wellness and is a member of American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Montz's private practice is dedicated to offering the latest in Dental Sleep Medicine, and he has developed excellent relationships with his local medical community in working together to treat sleep apnea for patients, hosting open house meeting forums with physicians to improve awareness of oral appliance therapy and advancements in dental sleep medicine.

Dr. Steve Reichman is one of the few doctors to be triple board certified in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and The American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He has devoted a good portion of his private practice, located in Long Island NY, to sleep disorders and the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea / Oral Appliance Therapy. Dr. Reichman believes in an interdisciplinary approach affording him the opportunity to work alongside the leading cardiologists, pulmonologists, ENT specialist and internists. As a lecturer to groups at high risk for sleep apnea, Dr. Reichman maintains the highest standard of continuing education to support his goal for total body health.
